Informationsmanagement GmbH is a software and consulting group which provides "customer care solutions" to its customers.
The company was founded in 1992 as a "Spin-Off"-company of the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering. The customer base comprises of 50 top corporations inclusive medium sized companies in Germany. Most of the income is generated by industrial as well as public project contracts. There is an increasing share however, generated through services and product licensing.

As a software company Informationsmanagement supports tool development. This includes prototyping and finalizing products based on highly interactive systems by applying Web technologies. The strategic product development units of Deutsche Telekom (German Telecommunications) have been a major partner for the developing of products and components.

Productive solutions are in the field of technical services for production companies as well as in marketing / sales of service providers. Financial services customers include several German banks as well as insurance companies.
Informationsmanagement is currently involved in several funded projects, e.g. in Telematics Project ELPRO (Electronic Public Procurement, #1498), Esprit Project HP-Retail (High Performance in Retail, #22707). In HP-Retail Informationsmanagement was responsible for the technical coordination.

Informationsmanagement GmbH at present has about 50 employees.

The group Bürkle is a SME group of companies composed of three independent companies on four sites with two factories for prefabricated components. They carry out the following activities:

• Manufacturing of stairs, prefabricated hollow walls and other prefabricated components for construction
• General contractor
• Basic construction
• Stairs lining
• Housing company

The main company was created in 1926 from the master builder Karl Bürkle in Fellbach-Schmiden. It manufactured prefabricated covers in concrete following a technique of its own. After the Second World War Karl Bürkle opened the company again and in 1948 developed the "stair Bürkle", that is till this day the most successful prefabricated concrete product of the company. Today, the "Stair Bürkle" is a serial product according to the industrial standards, which is manufactured in the factories of Fellbach-Schmiden and of Rakowice/Polen. Furthermore, production in Fellbach-Schmiden includes prefabricated hollow walls, and, since March 2000, hollow covers are produced there in bigger quantities.

As a general contractor Bürkle is a specialist of the construction industry.

Today, Bürkle has 150 employees.

The company Knecht was founded in 1928 from Otto Knecht in the field of general construction. In 1972, a special factory for prefabricated elements, especially prefabricated basements was opened.

The range of products (production and delivery of basements) includes a lot of items, also protection rooms and vault basements. For conventional construction, the company produces concrete prefabricated elements. The company was able to get a promising market position in the field of courts and gardens, especially through the adoption of paving stones in concrete composite.
For the production of concrete prefabricated elements, a CAD-system has been acquired.

In 1990, computer facilities had been installed for a computer integrated production of prefabricated elements. A central computer controls the processes of production, the "1:1-plotter" and the "automated concrete divider".

These changes have allowed the creation of additional work places. The company Knecht aims at the goal to exist as a prefabricated elements producer on the national and international market.

The last modernisation had been done in 1999. It created a very special system for the production of steel grids. The system automatically produces recess clearances for doors and windows. This system has been patented by Knecht.
Today, Knecht has 113 employees.

EKTER is a construction company in the 8th category (the highest category in the contractors´ register). It started operating as a personal company in 1959. In 1962 changed to a Limited Liability Company. Since 1973 it took the form of a Societe Anonyme. EKTER has much experience of all kinds of public, municipal and private technical projects. For example building, road construction, bridge construction, port construction, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical engineering as well as power engineering. 

EKTER has not any european R&D experience. EKTER at present has about 45 employees.

Deloitte & Touche is currently involved in several funded projects: Brite-Euram (Fibresave), Brite-Euram (Acorde), Esprit ( Estima Ratio), Brite (Realisation and test of a prototype of a basic module of computer integrated manufacturing in the clothing industry), Brite (An integrated monitoring and dispatch system for mining and construction worksites), Sprint (Technology tranfer among european SME´s), Health (Blims).

Deloitte & Touche at present has about 70 employees..

Zachariadis SA is a construction company located in Cyprus. The company has much experience of all kinds of public, municipal and private technical projects. In particular, special projects like bridges and roads, where big prefabricated elements are processed.

The company is expanding in Europe and the Middle East and has no previous experience with EU-projects.
Today, the company has 200 employees.
